It’s nice to be nice, and here at Edinburgh Self Storage we don’t just talk the talk; we walk the walk. We’re a friend to some local organisations that are really making a difference to the community.
Corporate Social Responsibility – sometimes called CSR – is the fancy name for business self-regulation that aims to ‘do good’ by engaging in ethical practices like charity work.
Call it what you like, we think it’s just nice to be friends and to be in the fortunate position of being able to give something back to the community. It’s about being a responsible and accountable business.
Our friends
Edinburgh Self Storage supports various local organisations and initiatives that are close to our hearts.
Supporting Maggie’s Centres through real Christmas trees.
We’re immensely proud to be a friend of Maggie’s Centre, Edinburgh, through our association with Crimbotrees.
We are very lucky to have festive friends right on our doorstep – it means our reception area is full of festive cheer every December!
£5 from every Crimbotrees real Christmas tree sold is donated to Maggie’s Edinburgh
Maggie’s Centre’s world-class expertise and support for families living with cancer is freely available to everyone in one-to-one sessions, workshops or support groups.
In 2016, we officially started to work with Maggie’s Edinburgh through our Crimbotrees Christmas tree sales. £5 from every real Christmas tree sold is donated to Maggie’s Edinburgh. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the running costs of at least one full day at Maggie’s, and every year sees us exceeding that goal, thanks to the generosity of our customers.
We also supply Maggie’s Edinburgh with a real Christmas tree every year for everyone to enjoy.
BATs Youth Rugby, Edinburgh
We’re also delighted to support Edinburgh Academicals and BATs Rugby and the fantastic work that they do for youth rugby in Edinburgh. BATS work across 17 schools in north Edinburgh delivering a range of activities designed to increase participation, building skills, great behaviours and lifelong values.
Our sponsorship helps the BATs team to grow, in turn making the sport more accessible to young people in the community and developing Scotland’s next generation of senior players.
We have been involved with the club for a number of years: either sponsoring Minis’ tournaments which has allowed the club to invest in equipment or simply when the teams are on tour.
